The bathroom has evolved from a purely functional room into a personal retreat. Homeowners now want spaces that help them unwind, recharge and start the day feeling refreshed. These are the trends shaping beautiful, comfortable bathrooms right now.

Spa-Inspired Walk-In Showers

Curbless walk-in showers with frameless glass create a seamless, open look and make the room feel larger. Add a rainfall showerhead, a handheld wand and a built-in niche or bench for a true spa experience at home.

Warm Wood and Natural Textures

Floating wood vanities, stone-look tiles and textured plaster finishes bring warmth to a space traditionally dominated by cold, hard surfaces. The result is calming, organic and inviting.

A great bathroom remodel balances indulgence with ease: beautiful to look at, effortless to live with.

Statement Mirrors and Layered Lighting

Oversized round or arched mirrors, especially with integrated backlighting, add drama while improving visibility. Combine them with soft ambient lighting and dimmable fixtures to shift the mood from energising mornings to relaxing evening soaks.

Freestanding Soaking Tubs

Nothing says luxury quite like a sculptural freestanding tub. Positioned beneath a window or as the room's focal point, it transforms bathing into a daily ritual.

Smart, Comfortable Upgrades

  • Heated floors that keep feet warm on cool mornings.
  • Touchless faucets and smart toilets for improved hygiene.
  • Anti-fog mirrors and quiet, efficient ventilation.
  • Thermostatic shower valves for consistent, safe water temperature.
Designer tip: Large-format tiles mean fewer grout lines, which makes a bathroom look more spacious and makes cleaning far easier.

Accessible, Age-Friendly Design

Universal design features, such as wider doorways, grab bars that double as towel rails, comfort-height vanities and slip-resistant flooring, look stylish while making the bathroom safer for every member of the family.

Bold Accents in Matte Black and Brass

Hardware and fixtures are the jewellery of the bathroom. Matte black offers crisp contrast, while brushed brass adds warmth and a touch of glamour. Choose one and repeat it consistently for a cohesive look.
